TRANSPARENT BY DESIGN

Know what is verified—and what is estimated.

CampSpot Scout separates official facts, community observations, and modeled estimates so travelers can make informed decisions without mistaking prototypes for surveyed data.

Official

Source-backed facts

Park names, regions, booking links, official park links, and public rules should be checked against the linked agency page.

Community

Camper observations

Photos, shade impressions, privacy notes, and practical tips become stronger as multiple contributors agree.

Estimate

Modeled guidance

Current site diagrams and many site-level ratings are conceptual. They are useful for comparison, not a substitute for official measurements.

Our publication standard

Every campsite record includes a source link, confidence label, and verification date field. Exact-site photos should only be labeled verified when the campsite number and campground can be established. Representative images must never be presented as exact-site photographs.
